How to make a GENIE SD8000Â smart?
To make your existing GENIE SD8000 garage opener smart you just need to buy an ismartgate device, a small hardware add-on. The ismartgate needs to be wired to the control board of your existing GENIE SD8000 garage opener and connects to your ismartgate app via Wi-Fi.

How do I install an ismartgate smart garage opener to a GENIE SD8000?
- Get your ismartgate device here.
- Take a look at the GENIE SD8000 wiring diagram below.
- Using a small cross head screw driver, connect the wires (included with the ismartgate Kit).
- To power the ismartgate device, you can use the included wall mount AC adapter. In case don't have a power outlet you can use our DC/DC Power Converter.
